An insight to walking football

Sunday, September 20, 2020

 Hi busy week this week

Good news for anyone interested in "Walking Football" in Corby & surrounding areas.

Corby Town Football club are starting up a WF programme.

If your interested in taking part keep an eye on their official website www.corbytown.co.uk for official announcement and contact details.

I have have had a desire to see an Indoor Astro Turf Arena in Corby for some time now. Last week I decided it was time to do something about it.

I have opened a go fund me account, to try and raise funds for an arena.

It is a big mountain to climb especially in today's climate, but one I think is worth climbing.

I know it is not like raising funds for someone who is ill or destitute but it is something that so many can benefit from. It would be "multifunctional" providing an all year round facility for different functions.

Yesterday I went down to our local West Glebe park where several training sessions & games were taking place. I mingled & and spoke with individuals and asked them " Did they think that the Corby Community would benefit from an Indoor Astro Turf Arena"? believe it or not they all answered "YES 100%".

I handed them a flier which read as follows:

If your answer to the question is yes please visit the

                                                       Go Fund Me website

Once in the website look for the fun raiser titled:

Indoor Astro Turf Arena for Corby.

I have set up a fundraiser in order to raise funds in an attempt to get an indoor arena built, which I strongly feel the Corby Community will benefit greatly.

It is a monumental task but achievable, nothing is impossible.

Each donation no matter how much, is the same as a yes vote to the campaign.

Showing that the community want it and will support it, if the goal is achieved.

Hopefully it will raise awareness to those who can afford a little more, or give advice on how to apply for grants to add to the fund.

Your donation (and yes) vote will hopefully multiply your donation due to others giving more where they can, having been inspired by your support.

Just think NO MORE CANCELLED SESSIONS DUE TO BAD WEATHER.

Please visit the site, if you cannot make a donation, share the fundraiser to as many as you can as your contribution.

I thankyou for taking the time to read this and hopefully your visit to the go fund me website.

Share share share

Kind Regards John.

So a mountain to climb indeed I hope some of you that read my blog can lend some support in whatever way you can, if only by sharing the fund raiser.

Thanks all for now

Stay safe
